If anyone would have suggested in early 1939 that Germany will take Paris within 6 weeks, they would have been laughed off the continent.
Likewise, if someone had said thath Japan would take Singapore by bicycle, they would have been locked up.
Now, if someone suggests that the 7th Fleet will fall like Pearl Harbour, because the Chinese have the most advanced missile technology and can take out any ship within range, then be prepared not to laugh.
As such, if anyone thinks that China will not or cannot invade Australia quickly, then they are not informed about China's ability or potential intensions.
