Also, what has yet to be clarified (well, in my mind anyway) is the exact method of purification used. Is it our trademarked method under patent objection titled "Method of Producing Purified Graphite" (Inventor: Christoph Frey) or the other filed patent titled "Improved Method of Purified Graphite" (Inventor: Michael Chan)? I know its probably safe to assume that the one which is currently under patent protection... but any thoughts, anyone?
I guess the clarity I am looking for is whether Michael Chan's "improved method" is a tweaked version of Christoph Frey's (as a backup in case of the latter fails patent grant) or whether it is a version that is specific to battery recycling which requires purification of synthetic graphite given the commercial blending that exists.
And, as an aside, why has all the documentation pertaining to the objection process been removed from accessing... does anyone have any idea?
