Much ink has been spilled over the merits of CGV versus 'all other UCG players'. From my perspective, either John Harkins and Michael Green are extremely professional directors in command of a budding junior energy company or conmen in the best tradition of Redford and Newman in The Sting. In the space of 6 odd months, they have convinced;
a) the management of Greenpower Energy to enter into a JV over its Victorian coal tenements
b) the management of Liberty Resources to enter into a HOA over its Queensland coal tenements
c) the combined management teams of Bejing Yusenjiayu Environmental Protection Technology Co, Inner Mongolia Gu Xin Mining Co and Goldbridge Clean Tech Energy to enter into a JV agreement to undertake a $400m UCG project in China
d) the management team of Inner Mongolia Sukli Oil and Gas Development Co to enter into an off-take agreement for supply of syngas from the proposed UCG facility.
Whats more, Harkins tells us in the April edition of The Gasette that "other significant developments are in the pipeline".
Excellent performance from the cast of Clean Global Energy.
