I was more referring to these recent drifts to the "the left" that the poster was fabricating.
Medicare, progressive tax scales and penions have been around a very long time, so when someone says "libs have drifted too far left to win woke voters", it suggests a recent switch (since morons didnt start using woke as a term for anything they dislike until very recently)
Even "purely capatilist" countries like Burkina have progressive tax scales, so it seems even "right wing" govts can understand the benefits of not thinking so rigidly left v right
