Totally agree. Will drive industry and supply of new houses and make existing ones hopefully more affordable. Honour NG on investment properties which were bought before the new rule came into effect, keep most people happy. Parents just recently bought a second property for the first time in their lives, intend to downsize when the time comes but will rent it out for the time being. They were appalled when they realised that negatively gearing it almost halved their tax implication. And to what end?
