    Oh EL,

I apologise that I questioned ever so politely your theory on, and I quote- "field unitisation"
I wish to point that it isn't my fault that it belied all O/G logic.

    Onto "completely wrong"

1/I stated that sovereign risk hasn't increased for offshore and you rave on that the world is now all a fluster with fear as if no one saw this coming.
Well - Colin Barnett has been warning of this for 18months - you must really rate him?
Have you got anything of substance that states offshore sovereign risk has increased?
Is there one comment from one single offshore company that has expressed any concern whatsoever?
    No consultation?
How do you consult on something before announcing it?
It hasn't been finalised on any level yet.
2/BG not BP - quality comment - let me see if I can stoop to match it - you meant "you" not "uou"
But please - excuse my typo.
3/I understand that the rate of return calculated is 11% for PRRT and a proposed 6% for RSPT. The comment was pointing out that both export programs plan to export LNG and only one has a rent tax at the moment.
    4/CSG is good?
Well then - you should be worried about Caterina then. Because my mate Don Voelte happens to share my views.
CSG has huge ROI and environmental concerns in my opinion.
Obviously there might be some "field unitisation" advantages - but until that concept exists in reality - it won't help CSG.

As for your post - "tax the LNG facility"
    Really?
    LNG facility should be worried?
    How about Caltex petrol stations?
Does the word - "downstream" mean anything?

    My original post expressed:
1/ Offshore taxes haven't changed - completely correct
2/ Onshore LNG will get a comparable tax to Offshore LNG - completely correct.
3/ CSG is garbage - Go see Don Voelte if you don't like that opinion. (Explain field unitisation to him while you're there)

    Lastly,

"NZ has definitely improved it's position relative to Australia, for resource investments"
Relatively - yes it has improved.
But get real if you think this puts NZ within a bull's roar of Australia in regards to sovereign risk.
QLD could declare war on WA and Australia would still be preferred.
When Auckland's leading news paper has a business section that doesn't resemble a greenpeace pamphlet - then NZ is on the way - but don't hold you breath.
