We see the exact same happening in radio ratings. The interwar and baby boomers provide the bulk of listeners to talk back radio such as 6PR in Perth.

6PR last survey lost 25% of their audience. 8.5% down to 6.5%. They are a conservative right wing anti Labor station that listeners have turned off in droves. No one wants to hear the wailings of a generation pining for the 1950s. Young educated voters are looking to the 2030s-2070s not 1940-1970.

The Libs have no where to go. They cannot win by appealing to just 30% of the voters. And they cannot win by replicating Labor.
