Alan has always said they would grow the company organically and by acquistion, if and when suitable opportunities presented themselves.

The other thing that has passed relatively unnoticed from the conference call, was in relation to the cost of the 1ml syringe, and the almost casual aside about NGOs and in particular, The Gates Foundation. Alan said that Gerald Verrolet would be looking at these opportunities to supplement the cost, and that "we believe we can maximise these opportunioties going forward."

It's worth mentioning that in February this year the Gates Foundation committed US%10 billion over the next ten years, (the biggest donattion the Foundation has ever made), to vaccine development, in particular malaria and tuberculosis vaccines.

Pardon the pun, but there are foundations being laid all over the place here, not just at The Farm.
