Ev's are better with rare earths. I think he is just realising he can't get the rare earths to fit his expansion dreams so they had to change tack.
The advantages ASM have are that they have a variety of metals in the mine and that they are going further downstream than just about every other miner.
It is a little more complicated obviously and Covid created another level of pain for them.
Hopefully soon we will see how it benefits them when/if contracts are signed.
