I did about 2 minutes research the other day...turns out there's about 205,000 tonnes of gold above ground worth about $11 trillion.

Annual gold production has increased 26% since 2010. If this rate of production keeps expanding there could be a problem because the world population has expanded only 14% over the same period and will continue to slow.

To keep the gold price up more people will have to buy gold, and younger generations aren't 'stackers'.
