You are right about Ponds 1& 2 but at the earliest stages of production they can adjust the filling sequence to make greater use of all the ponds to compensate for the fact that the initial ponds aren’t the correct size. By having less water in each of the subsequent ponds with the same evaporation will result in the salt concentrations being higher. During the initial ramp up this won’t be an issue and in fact having 4-5 ponds empty waiting for the target concentrations to be reached in the initial ponds doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Having said that, imo the big issue is still the approvals to start filling any of the ponds! With the jetty and causeway construction getting underway, we need to see the ponds filling soon if we aren’t going to lose another year of production.
