Useless socialist govt seeks to tax anything it can because its too stupid to devise constructive policy that will keep the Western alliance strong and prosperous against the most vicious countries in the world, that would gut you without flinching if it ever had the chance.
Investment in Australia wanes as it becomes known for radicalised anti-capitalist policy. Less prosperous business to tax, resource companies look abroad, diminishing finite reserves drive prices way higher, people whinge that the govt should do more for the battla, govt looks for even harsher taxes.

So well done Australia, all but Tasmania is a red state.
