From today's AFR "All of that shows Ablemarle is obviously keen. But Liontown’s airing the bid out on Tuesday after five months of talks shows its keen to shake out any suitors lurking in the shadows while also try to walk up Ablemarle. The 67 per cent is already an eye-watering premium, but Liontown was understood to have set its heart on just under $3 a share. Of course, its Tim Goyder’s got 15 per cent of the company, and has close allies in another big chunk of it. Any suitor would do well to appease him."
So there it lies: under $3.00 a share, if this is right. (And, well, it's disappointing.)
