The CDC, of all places, quoted the #s you call a "lie" for years...were they "lying"???
From the TC1 article.. "...the CDCcitedDGU estimates from both the NCVS and Kleck’s surveys, saying that estimates range from “60,000 to 2.5 million defensive gun uses each year,” and linking to a2013 report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that cites Kleck."
And now of course they've removed this from their website. They now have something that reads: Estimates of defensive gun use vary depending on the questions asked, populations studied, timeframe, and other factors related to study design. Given the wide variability in estimates, additional research is necessary to understand defensive gun use prevalence, frequency, circumstances, and outcomes.
The reality is no one knows for sure...and its somewhere much higher than the low-ball estimates of close to 100k that they ADMIT likely underrepresents the # and the 2.5 million which likely over-represents the #
But back to the award-winning stupid comment you made that to even think you need one for self defence is a sign of mental illsness...hopefully, after due consideration, you admit you made a foolish ill-considered post
