potstock a wise friend who is very successful as a stockbroker said to me with Spec stocks and you only bet what you can afford to lose.... betting your house might help you get to the top quicker if there are no hiccups however, don't lose your shirt over this.
I have bet big amounts before on 'sure things' like Atlas Iron, I didn't pull the trigger when I was a 4 bagger, I listened to the punters as well as the Brokers high Valuations, Australia's next big thing!..... guess what.... Iron Ore price collapsed and they were close to going under until big mamma Gina came to the rescue and mopped up the shares for cents, I lost $150,000, Bad taste yeh, but my fault but I could afford to lose it and since have offset many gains against the loss.
