    Yes it is an indicator, but it is only a small part of the picture.
    For reference go to the Merlin 2 announcements, which also share a lot in common with this one, but ultimately proved unproductive

    It is common to get some positive indicators, but the real value drivers are quantity, and mobility.
    At a downdip position to the Talitha well, I would expect it to be tighter reservoir, tighter means lower porosity ( fluids storage space) and lower permeability (flow capacity)
    It is a pity the Talitha SMD stimulated flow test obstructed early, so there is no base line to compare against
    To be considered a discovery oil must be mobile, as a tight reservoir, it will normally need stimulation to achieve flow. This is next years plan.
    Meanwhile the additional data from wireline and sidewall cores will decide whether the flow test is a justified expense.
    My opinion is flavored to caution, by what is not known, porosity being number 1, water saturation no 2 and net pay no 3.
