Because : - Xi indicated that he would talk to Zelensky; - Zelensky could offer something useful to Xi - the EU is currently beholden to Zelensky...... not the other way around. - Putin is a complete embarrassment with a failed war machine and a cheap petrol bowser - China can still use Ukraine as a gateway to EU trade and collaboration. BUT Does Xi have the balls?
