sounds like you got a virus or spyware - alternative ditch IE and get mozilla from mozilla.org its much better security wise, blocks pop ups and has tabbed browsing.
Its much less error prone and secuirty safe and there are regular 2 weekly updates to fix bugs, put in new features and its free via opensource.
