I'm out now. Sold my last parcel today. Worn out by governments of all persuasions treating shareholders with contempt.
I'll take my losses now so I don't have to stand by and watch as the situation continues to deteriorate. Have hung in there too long thinking things could not get any worse as they continued to do so.
I have taken one lesson out of this fiasco and that is never ever buy into another government utility bcos at the end of the day they will continue to regulate it as if they still own it. They will justify anything they do by telling you that you were warned about the possibility of regulatory risk. I now know what they mean by that term. We told you that we might rip you off and we are now free to do what we like.
So next time you see the glossy brochure that says please buy our utility don't get conned!
