Given the market capitalisation of rxl and vmc, I think vmc have done great. Plus I will also own now a few hundred thousand rxl shares so still have a vested interest in rxl and want them to do really well.
There is plenty of consolidation going on in the gold sector as many juniors are undervalued, rxl will have nearly 4 million ounces soon at decent grades and so imo will try and set themselves out to be taken out....
