Agreed. Things like this are always a possibility when pressures are increased following new wells being brought online. Odd that the problem was in the flare system though. My guess is they had a blowdown valve leak.
Moving maintenance from the July shutdown earlier also defers some of the peak production period beyond the 30th June end date for the temporary petroleum tax. Would save them a few million in tax.
