A) BYD announced recently that they have no plans on tackling the North American market probably not until the subsidies are rescinded or at least lowered and that will be some time .
B) Sodium ion batteries have 25% less energy density than the current crop of lithium ion batteries and seeing as CATL was mentioned are as much as as 50% less energy dense than CATLs new generation LFP BLADE batteries .
C) so in conclusion if your using a
1)lime scooter
2)hungry panda bike
3)a BYD or others micro intercity 2-4 person buzz box
then it's lithium business as usual including the the next generation Lithium Solid State batteries that take lithium to another level that IMHO makes it not only a permanent fixture but also makes it unstoppable with out an outside the box technological advancement which doesn't exist yet .
