I doubt it...the assay results might be weeks away.
I actually found today's announcement quite conservative in that it gave a very clear indication of what they have identified in the cores...without any real sign of "blue sky" talk.
The relationship of the core sample to Olympic Dam geology are very real and perhaps more importantly, are relatively uncommon...which I think is one of the main reasons for todays interest!
The ASX may however ask for more information, in which case we may see a trading halt as you suggested, but frankly, I can't think of what more information TAS could provide.
There was no sign of pre-announcement buying leading up to today, so everything seems above board to me!
