Market has basically lost confidence. Lots of disappointment in recent years, both in relation to interior decisions, plant purchase timing, capital raise timing, production issues, under performance, constant failure of meeting guidance etc. Plus all the external factors, like government interference, price caps, anti gas activism, turbulent gas prices and under investment in the sector.
Having said that, we have had enough bad news to last a lifetime and we probably deserve to be where we are at from a share price perspective. I just can’t see any more bad news coming with the way the world is heading. We need gas and prices are still escalating even with the government interference. There is more and more pressure for them to change tactics and reverse their policies and invest in further exploration and encouraging more production.
We have seen it happen in the USA. Oil price rises and their near depletion of their strategic reserves have forced them to do massive U turns. Especially with OPEC now holding the cards with USA losing control and the Saudis merging closer with their BRICS alliance. From a climate obsessed and anti climate democrat party, who in first day of office scrapped the keystone pipeline, has now auctioned out oil and gas exploration leases the size of Italy. This is the second major back flip in 2 weeks after the Alaska oil and gas U turn. They need more supply.

Australia will no doubt be forced to do the same in relation to gas and remedy the mistakes and issues that government interference has caused. With favourable external oil and gas market newsflow returning, especially coming into the colder months, plus a reversal of numbers and finances at our plant, I think we will start to trend into the green. We have seen the base imo.
