hi manny, the tape is when RENESAS deliver the final design of the chip to the manufacturer. they will first receive engineering samples to test for expected performance. any defects will be iteratively iron out until the product meets expectations. after that renesas will confirm volume production. we are a few months of any royalties from this chip.
not trying to be negative only temper expectations to reality.
