On January 29, 2023 BRN announced that it had achieved tape out of its AKD1500 reference design on GlobalFoundries' 22nm fully depleted silicon-on-insulator (FD-SOI) technology.
In April, 2020 BRN announced tape out of AKD1000 was completed & wafer fabrication commenced. It was completed by TSMC by July 2020 = 3 months.
Then time was required for testing/validation & completion was announced in September 2020 = 2 months.
AKD1500 was completed late January 2023 + 3 months = late April 2023 news due fabrication completed or early May 2023 if sent to fab early February.
Then news will be due 2 months later when testing/validation has been completed.
AKD1500 should be fabricated in time for AGM on 23rd May. US FOMC meeting on May 2-3 should pause similar to RBA.
In another 14 trading days after today news is due for AKD1500 fabrication completion.
RBA rates cuts on the way.
