Supertax or not it wouldn't have made a scrap of difference....the market would have found another excuse to fall.....it's all in the cycles and it was just time. Instead of getting upset we should learn to accept the cyclical nature of the market and play it to our advantage. Now take young Voltaire for example....he saw the cycles and sold out of his longterm positions the day before the peak.......

......so now what would Albert Einstein say about the relativity of this if he was here. Is the market now going down or is the value of Voltaire's cash position going up ?? Doesn't matter. Same difference in the end.....and I dare say Voltaire will reenter his long term position at the cycle low. Maybe Voltaire should be thanking Kevin Rudd for the supertax and hence this opportunity but the truth is Kevin is as much to be thanked as he is to be blamed.....this was gonna happen anyway......

......if you had been tuned into the XJO thread in late march or early april you would have seen the fine contributions of some fine posters seeing the same cycle top and presenting it in their own way.....

Learn to read the cycles and don't get caught next time venting your frustration against whatever trigger that you perceive has robbed you of your wealth.
