Bit easier to hedge against fluctuations between my own currency and USD, rather than fluctuations between a dozen different currencies isn't it Cosmo?I don't think your average exporter wants to spend much effort doing forex trading on the side, and I don't think your average exporter is planning to launch a large scale invasion, so they shouldn't be too concerned about the reactions to such.
