It is so refreshing to see posters with intelligent scepticism and even considered bullishness toward Quicksilver popping up round here at last.

In this vein, Ddog157, while perhaps reticent of the REE angle at Quicksilver, hits the nail on the head with his above comment: "...it appears this potential REE is situated in the nickel/cobalt deposit itself. So potentially a big bonus."

Yes, indeed.

As our CEO observes in the latest announcement:

Given that nickel and cobalt are the main drivers of the project, any potential discovery of economic REE mineralisation would be a value enhancer, a key differentiation from other companies with similarly staged REE only projects.

This is true on several levels.

While other REE hopefuls will need to justify building large, dedicated plant, Quicksilver offers the opportunity (assuming the rare earths are ionic) simply to augment the production flowsheet for Ni-Co with in-situ REE leaching. (This would be with low reagent consumption at ambient temperature.)

There would be little or no double-handling of the already easily-won ore in such a flowsheet. So you can readily see what a "value enhancer" Damon is speaking to.


With so many new eyes now on G88, I would urge close, rational appraisal of what's here. I know the temptation is just to take a few pips.

But Quicksilver is a project with genuine potential as a major company-maker. It is being ludicrously mis-priced at current levels, and management is buying.

Patience can be highly rewarding.
