    Property is an investment, you get to rent in it or live in it. Can you rent or live in a chunk of gold? Everyone needs a place to live, they don't need a useless metal.

    Gold's up 2% in the last year, where I live food's up 12%.

    You could've 'stacked' some corn flakes and been better off.
