XJO's big rises of yesterday and today seem to be mainly driven by resources, although it is not clear why such big rises. Perhaps the possibility of a China trade war thaw might have something to do with it.
Unwise to fight against such a strong trend. So, closed a tentative short from yesterday. Should have listened to TheFadz.
Can't predict the XJO atm. USA inflation figures tonight could push markets in either direction. Probably won't short the XJO again until the next downturn appears to have actually begun.
