Some rather interesting statements fluffy.... Can I ask what your background/experience is that would allow you to provide such analysis?
The reason I ask is that your view appears to be 'at odds' with a number of industry analysts. For example, you state ..."The resource is fair and on the lowish grade." Yet WA Govt Geological survey indicates it's a globally significant resource? Grading of the mammoth 830MT @ 0.71% Ni would appear to be more than competitive with the projects listed. Plus, there are pockets of higher grade Ni within each project section, at higher volumes than either of our Oz peers. So, your comment that 'the resource is fair and on a lowish grade', would appear uneducated, perhaps?
Sure high capex, but you'd expect that when you're talking 3.5MT processing facilities. But high risk suggests high reward, which is exactly what you get here based on the PFS costings based on only 2.5MT ... as you can see here: $2.4B pre tax NPV likely to be much higher in coming months..
And then finally you state "plenty of low grade inferred". I think you're probably inferring you really don't know much about this project? Unless you can substantiate your comments? Which is OK, given your stated aim is to trade the trade. But we're talking a whole lot more than just inferred (and the current PFS is expected to provide a high grade reserve for only 26% of the total resource), certainly nothing along the lines of your 'inference'!!
I haven't bothered going through the Ni/Co warehouse levels and current pricing, because I don't reckon ARL are at all concerned about needing a Ni/Co boom to get this underway. But they're just my thoughts.
Anyway, a couple of years ago, one of our peers had a couple of 'red heart posters' who did a good job pumping the 'bejeezus' out of a 'real low grade' resource. They're not there anymore, just left a trail of destruction for M&D punters - they moved on to other targets, I believe. Not sure what your aim is here, because it appears contrary to the pumping norm? But then, a trade's a trade, eh!
