elemental09: IF you do believe that there will be a JV (as you state in your post) then you simply have to hold and be patient... Company cannot and should not reveal ongoing negotiations.
IF you think that NO JV will come out of these negotiations, you are free to sell your FAR shares.
IF you invest in a share that you state yourself is of speculative nature, then you cannot avoid facing risk. (in this case you have described risk as capital being tied up, which I would consider not that significant a risk - think of what could happen IF no JV?!).
Personally, I have held FAR for a very long time and I have increased my FAR stake this year a lot - obviously increasing both RISK and OPPORTUNITY, which are two sides of the same coin.
