Several ways to go about the series of offences that Ms Thorpe committed the other night. You may pursue street offences, which vary from state to state but Disorderly/Public Nuisance or Insulting/Offensive Language would be a start. Then offences against Licensed premises such as failing to leave or disorderly on licensed premises. Thorpe could be issued some form of Infringement notices, a Notice to Appear in court or summons. To be fair a lot of aggressive drunks would be just arrested outright, binned in the watchhouse for several hours and then bailed to appear 3 weeks later. Thorpe is in the league of a belligerent drunk and deserves the same treatment as any other punter who gets too loose at 3am....Perhaps someone from Vicpol could confirm. From my days in QLD she would have been binned pretty quickly.
