Well, it's just basic investing logic.
Who cares what the share price is doing short term ?
We don't need anyone to "support" the share price.
Again, I repeat myself, the share price has no impact on the company's results unless it needs to raise money.
Just keep expanding production and let the financials do the talking. They were doing a good job so far.
Keep generating increasing cashflow, then you can :
- Reinvest in the business (Expansion, acquisition etc..)
- Issue dividends
- Start a buy-back scheme
All excellent tools that look after the share price naturally.
This discounted raise isn't.
Either we don't need the money and we issued 6m shares that will hurt a bit long term plus paid fees to the Lead manager.
Or we need the money because we are short on cash due to operational issues and I don't know why they came up with the "liquidity and shareholder quality" excuse.
A raise like that when the company is about to expand production and generate significant cash based on previous results only signals either weakness or looking after someone in particular.
