I agree with your comments 100%
I was simply pointing out that it is more beneficial for a high income earner to invest in their own name rather than a Company as they can reduce their taxable income significantly and be eligible for the CGT discount; provided of course, the property is held for 1 year or more
On a side note; I have read the odd speccy comment in the press that the May budget might include some adjustments to cgt
