We are going to run out of gas for sure which increases the value of these assets but the caveats are:
The gas industry has the following headwinds to overcome
1. Gas market intervention by the Feds & ACCC
2. Safeguard mechanism by Feds
3. Pending PRRT application to onshore projects by the Feds
4. Future royalty hikes for a financially strapped Qld govt
It is going to take time for all this to fail and we shutdown some industries before any action will occur IMO
