Heading into May is not the right time to buy banks, even for the dividend. BOQ is a regional bank @ $6 with a 20c 100% franked dividend. I would say a light dabble would be understandable but it's not for me when interest rates in savings keep rising every month and regional banks are at the most risk compared to the big 4.
