I'm only catching up on this, incredibly surprised that LPI haven't actually made an announcement via the ASX given the material impact to the company.
For the positive commentary about partnerships between state and private, interpreting this as a good thing for LPI.....I'm just wondering where on earth LPI would get finance for their portion even if there is a public/private ownership of their project. There are so many incredibly expense CAPEX operations that need to be funded for new lithium projects in mining friendly countries versus investing in a country that might just decide to take whatever assets you plough in to it. Good for Chile (potentially) yes (provided they can actually excecute), good for private companies - I don't think so.
