@Mas37 that mine is hematite, outcropping a very low strip. Unfortunately I can't see a JV Partner coming anytime soon until HIO address the excess strip ratio. Why would a JV Partner want to come on when they have to dig through 30m and dig up 2.2 Billion tonnes of dirt to get 224 MT of concentrate (from HIO Ore Body Upgrade document). I predict a JV will occur in one of SA's many ore bodies (which are far lower strip ratio, closer to port and water) prior to HIO getting a partnership deal. That being said, I think once one partnership is created HIO will follow suit through another investor partnership.
I definitely DOn't trust Bryans commentary on having a JV partnership by June. They haven't even released mine plans, samples, secured water etc. Why would a JV partner sign a binding agreement when they don't know what they are signing up for. Hopefully they have all this sorted in the next few months. If they announce something to address these I will buy in.
