I will never understand why people relentlessly bag a stock they don't hold seemingly without reason. Perhaps it is altruism, but it seems to me to be a big grudge. However, keep repeating the same stuff and eventually it just becomes background noise. As far as Surprise went; in the end it was an over hyped failure. But I made a reasonable profit on it on the way up, as I was set at a much lower SP. The Macquarie takeover attempt also made me a reasonable profit, but not by holding and hoping for a higher offer to come in. So now there are three sub salt play drills to come, any of which could be a company maker; two of them with a $40m free carry. Does anyone think the SP will be languishing in the 6c (or whatever) region once the drilling starts? I know that I will be well and truly set when it does. To paraphrase that ancient Tibetan (Mick Malthouse); the CTP drill is slow, but the gas is patient....
