IMO it will be quite a while until HD (B-Double) trucks are EVs because: -the weight of an EV car battery is about 500 kgs-half a ton) with a GVM of say 2 ton -a B-Double has a GCM of 65 ton -scaled up that would mean a truck battery of nearly 30 ton to give a similar kms range to an EV car.
For this reason, HD trucks will have to go hydrogen to go green, IMO, and sacrifice about half a ton payload in the process.
