Agreed that metrics are not the whole story, but Hopium, which is what you are espousing, cannot be measured. While, I too, engage in Hopium, I also like to refer to metrics to help keep my feet on the ground, especially since the market tends to get carried away with hopium. Explorers are the stamping ground for hopium but it is the actual measured values that bring the market back to reality most of the time.
