Hi Norway,
Thank you for another simplistic view.
Did you know back in the day when we had a MVC as the CEO, his total remuneration for 2018 and 2019 around $1.3mil each year
with the total director remuneration over these years being between $1.6-1.9mil.
since his departure in 2021 the total remuneration dropped down to under $900k, (saving of nearly $1mil dollars)
Last year the remuneration was slightly higher when we appointed Jacob ($860k) to resolve all of Tormin's issues (which he has successfully completed).
The total remuneration was $1.3mil for the directors, which is still well under the former CEO's MVC total cost.
Even with the 50% increase to the non executive directors (+$250k) the total remuneration will be less than under MVC control.
I guess the other thing to think about, we no longer have a CEO after Jacob resigned for personal reasons, obviously the NED (Non Executive Directors) work load will increase due to not have a full time CEO.
Anyway, the increase in the remuneration to the NED's is a resolution at the AGM, its up to shareholders to determine if these directors should be paid the extra $250k.
