Many ways to charge them - it should be obvious from the efficiency numbers that even the worst case of charging them from a diesel generator is still about twice as efficient and so generates half as much CO2 as putting that same diesel into a regular diesel semitrailer. Even though they're lugging around a 80,000 lb battery because anyone who knows will tell you that rolling resistance, not weight is the big energy consumer for long haul.
