    I don't think SYA would be a prime takeover/buy-out target for the big boys.

    Firstly, SYA don't currently have any lithium being produced, as it's owned by the JV and I don't see anybody buying PLL out without spending some serious $$, as PLL will need every dollar they get from the JV. The balance of material outside of PLL's cut is also owned by the JV, which means there is always going to be a partner.

    Their other big asset, Moblan, is also owned as part of a partnership (with the government).

    So while I like the looks of SYA's future, the fact is, they don't actually independenlty control any of their current big ticket assets, so to me, wouldn't look particularly great for a takeover bid.

    Whereas, if you buy someone like LTR, then you get to control everything they have.
