Farmboy, I don't have to imagine the headlines, I see them and make a point of reading them! ... and they are embarrassing and unhelpful to Australia in the least. Especially when much of the trouble can be totally avoided with a little more tact, thought and common sense.

I believe that it is important that ALL Australians fully understand that being able to speak Mandarin alone does not necessarily benefit Australia or translate into good diplomatic skills across Asia (or even in China).
This PM has been a disaster for diplomatic and business relationships from the beginning and the trend still continues.
