This 'political' saga is not even political, it's personal. YBY and Minister Chang very clearly have personal agendas, they just use their positions to excuse their decisions.

With that and comments from AL in the QR call in mind: perhaps going for tin mine tailings (or 'amang' as it's called in Malaysia) is an option to keep C&L active in Malaysia?

Reading a bit about it, some tailings have high concentration of tREO (~50% by weight), local abundance, with the caveat of having high Th content (like 7% by weight). But get this, from my cursory reading it seems that processing tin mine tailings is unregulated - it is exempt* from AELB regulations eek.png Go figure..

*Note: it was due for a review in 2021, but delayed due to covid.
