You would think that given the situations over recent years that have unfolded with Russia and countries like Germany in relation to their overreliance for critical resources, they would be more conscious of falling into that same trap again especially with China.
The pressure on this market from the Chinese is a steep but very short hump and as you have pointed out will do little to dissuade advanced countries from pursuing relationships with trusted and reliable allies for these types of deals that they find in Australian companies, especially with where ARU has positioned itself.
The SP may dip, but in the long term in my opinion it only presents a better opportunity to gather more of a fundamentally secure company that important overseas interests find critical to their own future.
