Gaston County is dragging its heels. Lots of residents oppose the mine and they have bought out a number of residents. But it will bring a lot of jobs and money into their economy
Its anyones guess when this will be approved
however: Manchin's legislation sets a two-year limit on environmental reviews of major federal energy projects and one year for smaller ones and directs the president to designate at least 25 high-level energy projects and prioritize their permitting.
Not sure if PLL will fall into this category but here is hoping
